Scripts & Letters that Get
Results
Introduction
Before you begin the process of
reaching out to build your base of dealers and customers in your MLM business, think about what kind of image you wish to convey. Yes,
most all of us work from the home and that is not always a professional
environment, but there are some simple things we can do to create a
professional image. If you are recruiting others into business, make sure
they feel confident that you know about business!
Telephone Image:
Call the phone company
and order:
-
Three way calling: You will
need it if you will be recruiting and training in MLM.
-
Ring Master: Have a separate
number for your business line. You don’t have to order another phone line,
but your business line should have a different sounding ring so you know
it’s business. Tell the kids, “Don’t answer my business line!” If you are
holding a crying child, let your answering service pick-up. Remember those
first impressions!
-
Memory Call: This service
directs incoming calls to a professional message if you are on the line. You
have the choice of using call waiting or letting the service take the call.
It also allows you to check your messages from anywhere in the country! For
those of us who are traveling and earning fun trips, this service is very
handy! You can record your own message that sounds very professional.
-
If you are doing any kind of
advertising, we recommend that you obtain a toll free number to be used on
every ad piece, business card or flier you promote. Use a voicemail service
that will allow your prospect to call and hear a recorded message 24 hours a
day and leave you their return information if they would like more
information.
Stationary & Print Image: Look Good When You Mail!
-
Never use poor copies of
someone else’s letter. Are you the business leader? Make your own letter for
approaching prospects. They will respect you more as a serious business
person.
-
Use attractive stationary.
There are so many beautiful papers available today at an affordable price.
You can have the “Big Time Image” for very little money.
-
Write from the heart, using
thoughtful words that apply to that person. These letters and scripts are
just a guideline to give you confidence in contacting other people. Always
be completely honest in sharing your opportunity and products.
Personal Image: Dress and Speak for Success
-
Think, “If I met myself for a
business appointment, would I want to join me?” Take an objective look at
yourself in the mirror. How are you dressed? Do you need a haircut? Is your
makeup fresh? Always carry breath mints. Your first impression may be your
only impression! Make it count!
-
To Speak for Success, you are
going to have to study and practice. You are going to have to practice your
presentation over and over. You are going to have to spend some time alone
in front of the bedroom mirror. These are not easy things to do, but if you
want success, they are a requirement.
-
Speak and Think POSITIVELY.
Always be an encouraging person, not only to your group, but to networkers
in other companies. What goes around comes around. Understanding this
principal, we should all be in the business of sending out as much good as
we possibly can! Watch your speech and convert negative words into positive
words. There are no problems, only challenges. Instead of the word
“downline,” I use the words “business partners.” Instead of the words,
“signed up,” I use “started in business.” The list goes on! Use your words
and attitude carefully because this is a business of duplication. If you
don’t want your business partners doing, saying, or thinking unproductively,
DON’T DO IT YOURSELF. In the famous words of Deputy Sheriff Barney Fife,
“Nip it in the bud!” when it comes to a negative attitude.
-
Each letter should have a date,
return address, contact phone number and any other pertinent information
such as e-mail or web site address.
